Acceptable Use Policy

SteakChef is designed to help users discover, generate, and manage personalised steak recipes and cooking guidance. This AUP exists to protect the integrity of the Service, the safety of our users, and the rights of third parties.

You may use the Service to:

• Generate and save personalised steak recipes for your own personal, non-commercial use
• Manage your cooking preferences and profile
• Access educational content, guides, and cooking tips provided on the Service
• Share recipes with friends and family for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Contact our support team with questions or feedback

You must not use the Service to:

3.1 Illegal Activity

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading conduct
• Infringe any intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or trade secrets
• Facilitate or promote illegal activities of any kind

3.2 Harmful Content

• Submit, generate, or distribute content that is defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, or hateful
• Generate content that promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
• Submit content that contains or promotes violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities
• Attempt to use the AI to generate content that circumvents safety guidelines

3.3 System Abuse

• Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service without our prior written consent
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network
• Circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or usage restrictions
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits or bans

3.4 Commercial Exploitation

• Resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit AI-generated content without our prior written consent
• Use the Service to build a competing product or service
• Harvest or collect user data from the Service
• Use the Service for bulk recipe generation for commercial distribution

3.5 Privacy Violations

• Submit personal data of third parties without their consent
• Attempt to identify or de-anonymise other users
• Collect or harvest personal data from other users

When using the AI recipe generation feature, you must not attempt to:

• Prompt the AI to generate content that violates this AUP or any applicable law
• Use prompt injection or jailbreaking techniques to override safety measures
• Generate content designed to mislead users about food safety, allergens, or nutritional information
• Use the AI to generate content for purposes other than personal culinary guidance

We reserve the right to monitor AI usage patterns (in aggregated, anonymised form) to detect abuse and improve the Service.

We take violations of this AUP seriously. Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, we may take any of the following actions without prior notice:

• Issue a warning
• Temporarily suspend your account
• Permanently terminate your account
• Remove or disable access to violating content
• Report the violation to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities
• Pursue legal action to recover damages

We will endeavour to give you notice of any enforcement action and an opportunity to respond, except where doing so would compromise the security of the Service or other users, or where required by law to act immediately.

If you become aware of any use of the Service that violates this AUP, please report it to us at [email protected]. We investigate all reports and will take appropriate action.

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
